Putting Funds to Good Use: $500 CYCAA
Human Nature Projects Ontario's Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship (YEAF) is an annual month-long event, where participants will participate in one synchronous week of workshops from professors and industry professionals, to learn about the fellowship theme and topics for that year, inspiring them to take what they learn from the workshops back home into their own communities. Afterwards, fellow participants will work in groups of 3-5 to create a fellowship report about the issues they learned and what solutions they can bring back home. It's a great opportunity for students between the ages of 13-24!
The YEAF received the $500 Honourable Mention Award as a Top 5 award winner for the Canadian Youth Climate Action Award (CYCAA)! Our team was able to use this award to give prizes to winners of the Fellowship while also providing fellowship participants workshop resources and guest speaker honorariums. We were awarded this award with an application to the CYCAA and our team was fortunate enough to get chosen!

The 2024 Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship concluded in August, and the award was fundamental to its successful completion.
