Hi everyone! My name is Srija and I am One of the Executive Directors. I am in third year at University of Toronto, studying Physiology and Molecular Genetics. My interests include travelling, reading, and design. I joined HNP Ontario to learn and help spread awareness on many issues revolving around climate change. I trust that our mission at HNP Ontario will help encourage our community to engage and work towards a better future. I am so proud of the work we have done so far and cannot wait to see our organization continue to grow!

Hello! My name is Kiyan and I am a Grade 12 IB student at Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School. During my free-time, I like to go on bike rides, play badminton, write, and read. I joined HNP because I am incredibly passionate about the environment and my goal is to drive as much change as possible. Through our events, programs and initiatives, I know we can make a difference in our community and shift the status quo by promoting greener lifestyles.
Hi everyone! My name is Muhammad and I am in my final year of my undergraduate studies at UofT. I joined HNP Ontario because I am incredibly passionate about advocating for the environment, primarily through education and civic engagement. The prospect of green cities and sustainable policies, practices, and development fascinates. In my free time, I love to read, cook, and spend time with friends and family. I am so very proud of our grassroots organization and the impact we have been able to make in the local and global community to drive environmental change. I cannot wait to show you all our plans for 2024!

Here, I have the pleasure of working with a group of highly dedicated and passionate people, and I look forward to future projects with them!

Hello! My name is Uyanda Mntambo, I am the Vice President of External Affairs. I study Global Development Studies with a minor in Political Studies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. I enjoy going on long walks, swimming and hiking during the summer. As someone who spends a good amount of time outside, I am passionate about engaging positively with the earth and minimizing my ecological footprint. I joined HNP Ontario as it allows me to advocate for sustainability, the Indigenous land we are situated on and positive environmental change while educating myself and expanding my knowledge.

In my spare time, I like to visit new places (love side quests), exercise my creativity (art, literature, music, etc.), and spend time with my people. Hey everyone! I'm Neelaksha, and I'm in my third year of McMaster's Honours Life Sciences program. I love going on long walks and road trips with my family. I enjoy painting, and I have done six years of Carnatic music. I love being outdoors. My childhood was mostly spent playing outdoors. However, future generations may not have the same experience if the detrimental effects of climate change on the environment remain ongoing. As a communications director at HNP, I hope to advocate for climate change by highlighting critical environmental issues with my team and help enforce actions that will protect and keep our environment healthy, which will also keep us healthy. It's a win-win situation! 🙂
